Ok quick background: I took Italian beginners in first semester at uni, and seeing as I’ll probably never see her again (my tutor I mean), I’d like to give a gift of some kind. At first I thought I could make these chocolates in a gift box, but then I thought what if she’s allergic to certain foods? She’s been such a great motivator basically throughout semester, and I really want to give something back for her efforts. She’s in her 30s (a guess) and she has a young daughter so I’d like to give something that will suit someone of her background..
Are there maybe traditional Italian customs for gift giving? (she’s Italian) It’d be great if I can get some ideas. Thanks!

Are To Many Foriegners Effecting Italian Soccer?
England has been facing more and more criticism over the fact that the Premier League is so overpopulated with foreign players that young English players don’t have the opportunity to grow adequately. However, this criticism could also be applied to Italy’s team due to their marked lack of football superstars.
The Azzuri have failed to impress lately. Their qualifying campaign for the 2010 World Cup finals was hardly impressive, relying on a last gasp equaliser in Ireland to put them into the finals after a series of unimpressive drawn games. At the finals, the Italians also failed to impress, especially in their first two games against Paraguay and New Zealand.
Italy was hurt by their lack of ingenuity in attack, despite their renowned defensive abilities. The shift is a nuisance to the Italian side and a change that needs to be addressed. Can the heroes of a country really be considered heroes if they don’t have their hearts in a national cause?

RE has it, but it is also very difficult to learn to hear and speak properly…They are often the most difficult for people learning ANY language.
Try to do something where you can practice more…watch movies and television that have been dubbed, or even DONE in Italian…Not terribly difficult to find such things online. Go to a torrent site and find some movies, start by searching through IMDB for Fellini movies, then cross reference the actors…then the directors of those movies.
