Opinions: Should I learn Italian or French?
I’m a native english speaker and already know spanish (at least enough to be conversational) and am going to be studying abroad down in Argentina for a few months and wanted to take a language class while I’m down there. The catch, obviously, is that the class will be taught in Spanish haha, how cool is that?
Anyway, I can’t decide between italian and french. In my opinion, Italy has way better music, but I love love LOVE to cook and french obviously has some pretty strong ties to the culinary world. Which would you rather learn?
I suggest French.
I would strongly suggest getting a software computer program, as they are the most engaging and effective way to learn. Books are good too, if you don’t have a computer.
Here are some options I’ve personally used, spend some time looking over what they have to offer and if you feel you would work well with it:

http://www.abclearnlanguage.com/url/french (this program is basically just like Rosetta Stone, but much more affordable. It only costs $99 – they also have this course in Italian – maybe you can do both)
