Spain remains one of the most popular places to spend a summer with so much variety in the coastline and a rich vibrant culture is easy to see why people love to visit Spain. Although you can get a bad press for some of its tourist resorts there are many wonderful resorts in the country to visit for families, couples and single travelers alike.
Salou in Costa Dorada is an ideal destination for families and usually a low-cost. There are two sandy beaches and crystal clear shallow waters are perfect for children and younger children. Salou gets very busy in the summer so it is not the place to choose if you prefer a quiet resort but the resort has a cosmopolitan atmosphere with a good mix of tourists from all over Europe. Salou is very popular with French tourists and is the perfect choice for a family getaway at a reasonable price.
Sitges, Costa Dorada in a lively resort perfect bohemian for those who like to visit the cosmopolitan places. There is an old town, beaches and plenty of bars and restaurants. Sitges has a reputation for being a destination gay tourism, but is also popular among families and everyone seems to have only throughout the world in Sitges. A city of culture can also visit Cau Ferrat – home studio to the modernist artist James Russin cum. Sitges is also renowned for its annual festival of horror and vibrant carnival.
Tamariu to along the Costa Brava is another destination that makes it a good family holiday. Here you will find sandy beaches that the kids will love playing and the clear waters shallow and are ideal for young swimmers and rowers. If you prefer a lively resort then Tamariu can not be the place for you as it is less busy and less developed other resorts in the area. The resort is lively in the summer months and during these months traditional Catalan is performed outdoors in Saturday nights along the boardwalk.
Sanlúcar de Barrameda is a small town in the province of Cadiz in Andalusia. It is a popular destination for tourists and is famous for its cuisine, especially seafood and sherry called manzanilla. This coastal city is also known for its horse racing beach taking place in the evenings throughout August. The complex manages to combine beach life with culture, a historical center and plenty of seafood restaurants where you can taste the fish of the day and enjoy the atmosphere.
Marbella is often described as the St Tropez of Spain, and certainly the wealthy and fashion seems to flock here in droves. New area of ??Marbella has everything expected of a destination like this, first class restaurants, five star hotels, shops and a cool night scene where you can dance all night if that's what you want. However, the old Spanish charm remains that a number of historic buildings and traditional, independent shops and bijou bars. One thing for sure is do not get bored here!
