Can any one tell me a cheap easy way to learn japanese?
I really want to learn to speak japanese but i cant afford the books so i was hoping someone knows a website that could teach me for free or just a really cheap.

My parents survived about twenty years in Japan (and would still be there, but for their age). Here’s the skinny on Japanese: You must spend at least seven years in Japan to get the basics half-way decently, making sure during that time to impersonate Europeans who speak some other language than English… like Lithuanian, or Euskara… or else the Japanese will simply refuse to speak to you in Japanese. My parents couldn’t do anything deceitful like that, so they both went all grey around the gills trying to learn anyway (and they want to go BACK…).
I think I still have some nice introductory books. You can have them. Just write.
