SGI reports an increase in sales of foreign language courses directly linked to the recession

Despite the poor current state of the economy, Saint George International (SGI), specialists in language teaching, announced a marked increase in the number of external sales of language courses in the United Kingdom in the first 2 quarters.

The school team of marketing has concluded that this increased activity is in fact a direct result of the economic crisis. Many professionals, who have been fired recently, are turning to study the language, because every time looking for an edge in their job search or looking for a change career as they are facing a highly competitive labor market and saturated.

To underscore this point later, Britain reached a milestone gloomy in May this year, as figures showed the number of currently unemployed workers rose from 2.4 million was the highest since 1995. In fact, A recent report by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development suggests that the labor market will decline over the next three months – with both private and public industry leaders planning to lay off more people they hire.

Improving language skills or even learn a new language, is obviously a clear path to open people who want to become more employable, especially given the international nature of business and commercial activity in those days. Employers are especially interested in hiring people who speak more than one language and, given the current labor market, have good language skills can be make all the difference.

Max Loach, director of the school of Saint George International comments: "Since the beginning of this year we have seen a very healthy increase in the number of people attending our foreign language courses in the UK, including the learning of French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and Chinese, but also others. This also has covered all types of language study, General, Language Courses and academic language. Feedback students, this situation is the direct result of the economic crisis as a good number of them have lost their jobs or are worried about losing their jobs and are therefore taking the opportunity to improve their language skills, or possibly taking the plunge to learn a new language. I feel that learning a new language is a positive real investment in one's future at any time, but especially in a time of crisis like we are now. "
