How can i tell if i have/ gain a french accent when speaking french ?

im learning french
im in 2nd year
i really want to be fluent someday and having the right accent is crucial to doing so

how can i tell if im doing the accent right?
how can i work on the accent?/ learn it?

As a real French person. Keep in mind that French is spoken in Quebec, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Africa, Monaco and other places as well as France, so having the “right” accent really depends on where you want to sound like you learned French.

Personally, I think that as long as you’re understandable, it’s fine. If you were from Australia, wouldn’t you be insulted if someone in his/her second year of learning English told you that he/she didn’t want to talk to you too much for fear of picking up the “wrong” accent?

I’m not scolding you at all, but just make sure you have the right concept of what languages and accents are.
