italian language classes in italy
What topics can I use? Italian culture?

I’m trying to make a list of topics about Italian culture to use with my class each day. I want to choose a topic for each class so that Italian culture is included every day. I made a list of things I want to include, and am looking for imput on other important cultural/historical topics (these could inclue historical figures or events, contemporary cultural pieces- specifically things that teenagers would be interested in).

Here is my list so far: fashion, cars, music, English words in Italian language, Italian words in English language, Carnevale, Easter, Christmas, Palio, the Vatican, Rome, Venice, Florence, all regions of Italy, school in Italy, bars/caffe’, immigration, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, Duomo, Italian food, cinema, pesce d’aprile, wars, unification, euro, jobs, soccer, religion.

Kind of a random list, but any help would be appreciated! I want to think of things that the students would enjoy learning about!

our flag: il “tricolore”
Il primo tricolore italiano nasce il 7 gennaio 1797 a Reggio nell’Emilia come bandiera della Repubblica Cispadana proposto da Giuseppe Compagnoni.
