My neighbor wants to put her 3-year old in Chinese immersion classes. Will it do the child any good?
The parents are not Chinese; they don’t speak Chinese.
That’s odd, but beneficial.
Since she’s 3, she’ll have an easier time with learning, the younger the better.
But then again, she won’t be able to practice with her parents. I learned through my mother speaking to me like telling me to go brush my teeth so I could pick up on what it means and knowing how the words sound.
I think she’ll do fine at 3 if she keeps it up and is interested.
