Translate to French: My reason to be radiant?
Would “ma raison d’être radieux” be right? I’m getting a tattoo with those words and forget-me-not flowers surrounding it and I just want to check that the spelling, grammar and meaning is right. Its a tattoo to commemorate all the memories I’ve shared with my fiancee. I call him my reason to be radiant. I want it to mean that he is my reason to shine, to be brilliant, to be the best me possible. Any suggestions to better get my meaning across in the beautiful french language are of course welcome.
I’m french and I can tell you that “ma raison d’être radieux” is right. The spelling, meaning, grammar…Etc.
But it doesn’t sound “beautiful” at my french’s ears. Can I propose you “ma raison d’être” (meaning: my reason for being/for living) or “ma joie de vivre” (meaning: my joy of living)
