learn Russian free?
I want to learn the Russian language and writing, being 16 years old I dont have the $$$ to buy the programs online and I dont have a credit card, both my parents dont approve cause they cost 40 bucks, does anyone know a free program I can download that teaches the Russian language?, also anyone know how long might it take for me to learn it? thanks!
I don’t if I would suggest using Rosetta Stone to learn Russian. There’s been a lot of criticism that Rosetta Stone sucks at teaching Russian (see here http://www-writing.berkeley.edu/chorus/call/reviews/rosetta_russian/index.html ), although I don’t know if this has changed with recent editions.
If you Google “learn Russian” there are dozens and dozens of sites that will teach you for free. But I know these probably suck the fun out of learning a language. I know that www.download.com has some Russian language software, just search for “Russian”. Here’s some of the better free ones I found:
