I want to learn japanese but i dont know where to start?
I know the stuff like Subect object verb and basics and writing but i dont know what else or where to learn
Classes would be best IMO.
Of course if you don’t want to spend so much money to begin, then you can try Pimsleur, which is an audio program that teaches grammar, pronunciation, listening skills, and lots of useful vocabulary.
Pimsleur won’t teach writing. You say you know writing, but I’m guessing that at most what you know is hiragana and katakana. I’m hoping you don’t mean romaji. That is not real Japanese writing. That’s Japanese written in Roman letters in order to make it easier for those familiar with roman letters to get a sense of the sounds. Romaji is only an approximation however, it does not accurately represent Japanese sounds.
If you know hiragana and katakana, good job, you have to start learning Kanji now which are Chinese characters. If learning on your own using Pimsleur or some similar program, try to get a workbook from a bookstore.
If you stick with Japanese, as you progress, begin keeping a journal in order to reinforce writing skills, grammar skills, and vocabulary.
I think Pimsleur is a great starting program but as you progress into the more difficult stages of the language, you may end up running into things you don’t fully understand. Never overlook these things, that’s how bad habits form. This is where it helps to have a teacher, someone who can explain it too you in a way you might understand. At some point in your study I suggest getting a teacher.
Later on, if you really stick with Japanese, it’ll help greatly to spend some time there. Immersion is the best way to learn.
From here on, I wish you good luck!
