Why do you need to attend a Japanese Class?

Let us all admit it. Knowing more than one language is indeed an advantage, especially when applying for a job. Why attend a Japanese class? Because there is a growing number of a Japanese corporation around the world and it is indeed an advantage knowing how to speak Japanese. You may want to impress the employer by simply knowing the most common greetings used in their daily lives.
Attending Japanese class does not literally mean you have to go to a classroom or in a school setup. You can attend a Japanese class online during your free time to learn Japanese language at your own pace. There are various websites that offers Japanese manuals or videos or audios that you can use as a guide or a reference if you want to learn Japanese. You may also attend an online class that requires a fee for a more organized Japanese lesson, which may include learning how to write Japanese characters such as katakana and hiragana.
Learning the language by joining a Nihongo or Japanese class is a fun experience as you will encounter characters which are far from the English alphabet. Although learning how to read and write is not really a requirement especially if you are not going to live in Japan and you are just going there for a vacation or a visit. On the other hand, learning to read and write Japanese is essential if you are to work there. The Japanese language has 4 levels and the lowest is level 1. Japanese classes for beginners include basic words and phrases such as simple greetings and how you should introduce yourself. It also teaches you how to ask for a place, time, directions, look for a thing or an object, person and other basic how, where, what, when and why questions. If you were able to pass level 1 of the Japanese language, you can then proceed and attend a level 2 Japanese class. This level is a bit tougher than the first level but still includes some basics. As you go further and upon reaching level 4 Japanese, you will then have a certification and this can be your ticket to success. You can even teach Japanese language or be a tutor if you were able to pass and learn all 4 levels of the language. Writing Japanese, although may not be required sometimes, is fun to learn as well. Japanese characters have to be written in a sequential way, meaning you cannot just write it anyway you want.
If you want to learn Japanese effectively, you should listen to audio recordings to be familiarized with the pronunciations. You should apply it in your daily life as well. Create a journal and incorporate with it the words you have learned and see your progress as you learn more words and phrases. To learn how to write and read Japanese characters efficiently, you may use a flashcard or start writing in Japanese. Start off by writing your name and then try writing the words you have already learned.
