I need a mild Italian curse.?
The phrase is “At least she wasn’t reading the damn book.”
I’d like to replace JUST the word “damn” with an equivalent Italian profanity.
Thank you!
I tried BabelFish, and it recommened “maledizione,” but I just don’t see that flowing off the tongue in the middle of an angry tirade.
“maledetto libro” would be “damned book.” If you really wanted to soften it, you might say “quel cavolo di libro” meaning “that cabbage of (a) book,” cavolo here substituting for a nastier word (cazzo).
